Carrier RCS eligibility is maintained separately from RF/band data. Because conditions change, the checked date and primary URL are retained.
NTT Docomo
As of 2026-08-08, Docomo’s official RCS page lists Android phones/tablets on Android 10+ and says iPhone availability will be announced later. An eligible internet-access service is required; Docomo-network MVNO support is listed as future support.
Official source ↗au / UQ mobile / povo
au officially lists au, UQ mobile, povo and au-network MVNO lines. A line that cannot use SMS cannot use RCS. The published OS floor is Android 8+; iPhone requirements vary by line type between iOS 18.4+ and iOS 26.2+.
Official source ↗SoftBank / Y!mobile / LINEMO
SoftBank officially lists RCS for SoftBank, Y!mobile and LINEMO. Android requires Android 10+ with Google Messages; iPhone requires iOS 26.4+ with Messages. Business and MVNO lines are listed as future support.
Official source ↗Rakuten Mobile
Rakuten Mobile documents cases where Android “chat features” affect whether messages are received in Rakuten Link. This ledger does not infer general Rakuten-line RCS eligibility from that FAQ alone.
Official source ↗iPhone / Apple Messages
Apple states that RCS requires iOS 18+ and a carrier/cellular plan that supports RCS on iPhone. The presence of the toggle alone does not prove successful end-to-end RCS messaging.
Official source ↗Android / Google Messages
Google Messages exposes RCS states such as connected, connecting, unable to connect and unsupported. SMS/MMS fallback behavior is configured separately when RCS delivery fails.
